Lean Horse Ultra-Marathon Just like fine wine, we’re improving with age... The 2008 Lean Horse Ultra starts and finishes in Hot Springs, just outside event headquarters at the Mueller Center instead of at the Minnekahta Trailhead. Descriptions of the course can be found on the COURSE INFO page. The finish line is at a location accessible to support crews, volunteers and shelter. Crew and pacers will have more opportunities to connect with their runners in the last 16 miles. And the 16 miles from the Mueller center out TO the Mickelson Trail, and back FROM the Trail are a much more interesting run than the first 16 miles of the old course from 2005 and 2006.
